Rupert Peploe comes from a family with a very strong artistic tradition. Samuel J. Peploe the Scottish colourist was a relation, as was Fitzgerald Peploe, the New York society sculptor of the 1890s and Thomas Peploe Wood the early 19th century topographical artist.
He works in oils using brushes and palette knives and is particularly excited by colour and form within the West Country Landscape, Still Life also feature prominently in his output.
His use of colour is stunning and this beautifully framed piece would be a stand out addition to any traditional or indeed contemporary space.
